I LOVE THE FIRST DAY OF TRACK OUT
Posted on October 3, 2016
So today begins my three weeks of being tracked out from the classroom. As much as I'm enjoying the new students, it's always fun to have a chunk of time to write. The Powers That Flee is becoming quite a personal journey for me. The protagonist is very much me from the eighties, insecurities and all.
I managed 3,400 words today, a great start. I enjoyed writing the scene where Darin exhibits his first set of powers. Fun stuff. I'm pleased that he's not doing this alone. His friend Craig is knee-deep in the trouble with him, and they're both working hard to figure out all the strangeness come at them.
Looking forward to writing more this week. Hoping to go from 9,000 word to over 40,000 words this track out.
