WOW, SIX SHOWS UP A LOT IN MY NOVEL

Posted on November 28, 2018

I had to check something in an earlier scene of Irving 4 and knew the sentence mentioned the number six. I did a search for the number and did find the section I needed, but it also showed me all the other instances of the number six cropping up in my story. I have listed them below in the order they appear. It's kind of funny to see how often the number turns up. I wonder if I use another digit more than six.

– Everyone knows you masticate each bite forty-six times before swallowing.

– Grinding up a morsel forty-six times is the responsible action.

– He sure seems to have a sixth sense about these things.

– We crossed the six feet or so and fell into the mirror.

– Instead of him scarfing you up, he resized to match your proportions once he got within six inches of you.

– If all goes as planned, I should be able to map out each node in under six hours.

– Their suits were keyed to their body mass, and I shuddered to think of the disaster it would cause if I tried to use either to shrink all seventy-six pounds of me.

– It was covered in a large green exoskeleton with six mechanical arms radiating from her torso.

– Six hollow wraiths guard her.

– They flew into each other, and a small light show, basically what appeared to be the magical equivalent of a fireworks display, dazzled us for six seconds before fizzling out.

– Six students wearing dark brown cloaks and oversized hoods that kept much of their features in shadow raced up behind Raggleswamp and cheered him on.

– Now five of the six hooded additions were adding to the mess.

– My spell produced six snares, each almost fifty feet or so in length.

– My right knee sank abruptly a good six inches.
