36th BOOK DEBUTS: TY WALLACE VERSUS THE HEREAFTER
Posted on August 27, 2022
That's right. I released two books in one week. Ty Wallace Versus the Hereafter was completed a year ago, but I stepped back from it so I could come at it with a fresh pair of eyes. It was most of the way there but needed some TLC. I looked at it again two weeks ago, found just the right tweaks, and it's ready for its debut! I love the snarky way the characters interact, and the social commentary really sings at the end of the book.
You need a book that features Neil Patrick Harris in a very important role. Well, I really couldn't use the actor, but Mel Patrick Farris is the renamed stand-in for the beloved celebrity. I do think he should play the part if a film ever gets made of the novel.
Oddly enough, this book has something in common with Faeries Don't Exist! They both feature lobsters in somewhat similar roles, although Roderick is a more fully fleshed-out character than the lobster Ty rides in just one scene. I guess I had shellfish on my mind the past year.
