PROGRESS ON HERE IS WHERE I . . . WIELD A REALLY BIG SWORD

Posted on April 7, 2016

I am halfway through my three-week Spring track out and have written 20,000 words of Here Is Where I . . . Wield a Really Big Sword.. That brings the book to 38,000 words so far. If I keep up this pace, I should be around 55,000 by next Friday.

I am having a ball with the humor and vibrant banter. The book is really clever and offers my take on a Buffy the Vampire Slayer style cast but with a male lead. Gideon is the star, but I'm having such fun fleshing out the other five members of his group.

I just developed the motivation for the villain and will be officially introducing him in an evil interlude chapter tomorrow. It's one that puts a huge target on Gideon's back.

I am eager to get this done-in-one novel complete and out for sale. If everything works out, I should be done the 63,000-word book (that's my projected word count to wrap the story up nicely) by the end of April and use May and June to edit and revise it. My plan is to release it July 1st.

The next book will be the concluding volume of my zombie series, Turncoats: Overthrown. It'll be nice to have a series hit its final volume.
