DRAWING WORKSHOP WAS A HIT!

I'm fortunate to have an incredible local book store, Page 158 Books, support my creative endeavors. They carry all my books and have had me in for signings and for several drawing workshops. This workshop was part of Lit Fest, and I really enjoyed myself.
The young cartoonists who came learned how to draw a dragon, a zombie, a hot dog alien (think a cute Giger alien), a marshmallow Wolverine, a mutant fox, a Creature from the Black Lagoon and a bat. They all really took to it and after two parents asked if I'd be offering another class soon as their children greatly enjoyed themselves.
Yea! I love encouraging budding artists.
In addition to writing novels, I had a career earlier in comic books. I worked my tail of in my twenties and produced quite a lot of work in a short time. I eventually moved away from that field and now work with novels.
I still keep my cartooning chops fresh by drawing over a 1,000 cartoons a year for my students and holding after school cartooning clubs and the occasional workshop like this.
