A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO WRITING A CHAPTER: PART 6

Ratta-tat-tat!
That's how I feel about the ideas coming at me in my new Irving book. Concepts are popping up fast and furious! My creativity is coming out guns blazing! And all of it serves the story perfectly.
What I am finding to be a hallmark of the Irving series is the celebration of creativity that exists in every scene. It truly functions as a book that gets in the head of the author and in the head of his creations. I am delighted by where everything's heading. I'm holding onto something big here, monumental! I know that's a lot of hyperbole but it's how I'm feeling. My writing confidence, voice, and purpose are coming to a joyful apex with Irving 2 and I can't wait to share it with you.
Case in point:
They have to face a dreadful dragon in the Biblio Bog, one who breathes something far worse than fire or ice. And thanks to this brainstorm, I get to title a chapter "Breath Wish." Irving is going to be on the receiving end of the very magic he is charged with gathering up and safeguarding. I won't tell you the added twist of the scene, but it's a lovely sight.
Another Case in point:
With the past few chapters, Roon's character is really coming into focus for me. Her detective side and her vampire aspect are getting explored quite nicely.
