ON MY WAY TO TWO MILLION WORDS
Posted on December 21, 2017
With the end of the year fast approaching, it's time to take stock of my writing output this year.
I wrote all of Ghost Coast in the early part of 2017 and made it about halfway with Randall Flood.
Ghost Coast: 71,929 words
Randall Flood: 29,846 words
2017 word count total: 101,775 words
My total up until this year was: 1,630,048 words
With the new amount added, I'm at: 1,731,823 words
It was my lowest year yet, but that's okay. I think the quality of what I'm writing makes up for the lower word count.
This year isn't over yet. I have three days next week in the studio where I hope to add 12,000 to the total. We'll see how that goes.
My hope is that I can be closer to 150,000 words in 2019. I think that's a realistic goal.
My publishing plans for this year include:
– Randall Flood in May 2018
– Irving Wishbutton 3 in October of 2018
– a third book, something new, that would be closer to 40,000-50,000 words for the end of the year.
Here's hoping more readers flock to my project in 2018.
