SO CLOSE I CAN TASTE IT

Irving 2 is so close to being done. I am at 59,000 words and in the thick of the climax. It looks like it will hit between 65,000-70,000 words and that sounds just perfect. The number of revelations in this book turned out to be more than I expected. Irving and Roon learn far more than I originally intended. But I see that as a good thing for the story and the readers. There is no reason to draw out all the secrets. The two biggies that get revealed will have huge implications in the next book. At the end of book two, Irving will be sitting in a place of advantage over the villain. But, knowing Harmstrike, I don't expect that to stay that way for long.
With two more weeks to go until track out, I am going to push hard to finish it so I can use my track out to edit it and start in on Book 2 of Turncoats, my other series that gets a lot of requests for more.
