WORKING MY SCI-FI FUNNY BONE NEXT!
Posted on July 2, 2019
Up next will be a science fiction novel that I'll write in August. That way, I can take a little more time to prepare for writing the third zombie novel. That one will get penned in November. Here's the gist of the new project:
Working Title: With a Side of Universal Destruction
Will Strooter's sarcastic streak and overall ineptness are just two of the fireable offenses his former employers have used to kick him to the curb. When his most recent manager accuses him of being a dark cloud of bad luck and the cause of confounding workplace glitches and bizarre happenstances, Will is let go yet again. Desperate, he accepts an unusual job opportunity that sends him off planet and into a universe that is more than ready to embrace his knack for troublemaking. In fact, several alien races are convinced Will has an ancient anomaly tucked away in his psyche that, if extracted, could either bring unlimited power and sway or end all of lemony-fresh time and space. Strooter does what any hunted human alone in the wild and woolly galactic empire would do to survive – he surrounds himself with a ragtag band of misfits and hopes for the best. Along the way, he may or may not destroy a prison planet, find his soulmate, and rescue a tetchy elder god. Oh, and save all of reality. That goes without saying, really.
Toying with using this image as the cover. Maybe Will disguises himself as an asteroid to avoid detection and fails miserably.
