40th BOOK IS A DOOZY
Posted on February 21, 2024
20 First Chapters is out now and available as an eBook and print book on Amazon. This is my fortieth book, and I'm mighty proud of the project. It's something special. Don't just take my word for it.
The first review is in from Amazon, and it's a smashing hit! This one will only appear on Amazon UK as she's a British fan of my work! Here's the glowing review:
"20 First Chapters is a new release for 2024 by Brian Clopper that pleasantly surprised me. Having read other books by the same author, like the Emery Fogg or Irving Wishbutton sagas amongst others, which I truly enjoyed, I was a bit hesitant about trying a book full of unfinished stories. However, I must say that I found this book equally, if not more, engaging and entertaining.
This new book is an easy read. The chapters are just the right length, and you can pretty much stop reading whenever you want. As they’re all individual stories, you don’t have the teasing cliffhangers that almost force you to carry on reading chapter after chapter in order to find out what happens next. In this book, you will not get to find that out at all. These are only first chapters of potential books that haven’t been written yet and might never will. But even so, when you finish each chapter, you still get a satisfactory feeling. I loved imagining how I would continue the story or guessing what would happen next, and that’s precisely what the author intends: to encourage you to finish the stories he has proposed to you.
With this book, Brian Clopper has produced an amazing tool for the budding writer in you. And not only does he present all kinds of creative and varied stories, but he also offers his very own helpful tips and suggestions at the end of each chapter.
It still amazes me the incredible and boundless imagination of this author, touching all sorts of themes, settings, and characters. I did of course like some stories better than others. Being Hector Specter, Lurks, What about Simon?, A Plague of Messiahs, An Untimely Dragon, and Field of Screens are amongst my favourites.
Whether you’re a writer or just a reader, I’m sure that you’ll find this book an interesting and worthwhile read, very helpful for those who like writing and greatly entertaining for people who like me, just like reading. It would be awesome if Brian Clopper decided to finish any of these First Chapters. Would it end how you imagined?"
