AFTER THE SMOKE HAS CLEARED

Okay, it's official – I got done 14,000 words in four days! A new personal best. Bad news for me is that I've still got a ways to go. With the creative rampage I'm on, the story has really grown. It's looking like I'll be lucky to come in under 80,000 with this book. But that's okay. So much new ground is being broken with these characters and since I know there'll be a third book, I feel justified in letting the character development shine. It's all feeling very organic and right for the characters. The life they are living is unfolding before me with such clarity that it's a little frightening. It really spurs me to keep feeding the words to the page.
Anyway, look for a two-chapter preview featuring Wensen to go up next week.
Also next week, I'll finally get to that post on the mushy stuff and I'm shooting for 20,000 words in five days. That could get me nigh close to the end, folks!
