DIGGING ZOMBIES PART 11: EVERY STORY NEEDS AN OBI-WAN KENOBI, RIGHT?

Posted on May 24, 2014

Trina is about to meet someone who will turn her world upside down. I knew this character was coming. I knew he was going to show our undead teen a better side of humanity. For Heaven's sake, she's certainly been taking some hits with the rest of humanity that has crossed her path in Overwhelmed thus far.

This character is going to serve as the Ben Kenobi archetype for this book. He's going to help her along on her path, clarify what she's doing, and allow her to reach deep inside and tap into something that has remained hidden up until now. And he's going to do it without having extreme ties to the light and darkness, the two entity's that have been playing tug-of-war with Trina's soul up until now.

I'm eager to see how this scene unfolds. I have a feeling the narrative will be redefined by the next few chapters.

And that's even before the big game changer that will happen at the end when they brave entering Asheville, a city that has been grossly changed by the darkness to suit its dark designs.

Don't worry, there won't be any Yoda or Jar-Jar Binks analogues entering this series later. I have some restraint, people. But there might be room for a Chewbacca. I mean, there's always room for a wookie, right?
